Wary of sparking the rumours again, Katrina Kaif and John Abraham are keeping a safe distance while promoting their film New York together.
At the press conference held to promote the film a few days back, it was a strange sight to see Irrfan Khan and Neil Nitin Mukesh rubbing their shoulders with Katrina, while John, who’s the film’s leading man, stuck mostly around director Kabir Khan .
Only once or twice was there an actual verbal exchange between John and Kat at the event.
According to a source, it’s not that a cold war is brewing between the two stars. They are behaving cautiously because they don’t want to spark the rumours of their romance again.
A few weeks back, tinsel town was blitzed by the gossip of a possible romance brewing between the two after it was found that Kat had exchanged many SMSes with John during the filming of ‘New York’.
Today, looking back, she thinks the long chats and exchange of messages with John was a mistake.
“It was a mistake and sometimes mistakes can happen. But this particular issue was blown out of proportion. It was like this Chinese whisper, which went on and on,” Katrina is quoted as saying in a media report.
Anyway, Kat has already admitted that John never became the kind of friend she would have wanted to keep in touch with after the shooting was over.
‘New York’ is set to release on June 26. John, Kat and the other stars will continue to promote the film until its release. Watch out for their chemistry (of the lack of it) at the promotional events till then.
